Autoimmune diseases arise from aberrant autoimmunity in which the immune system mistakenly attacks the body’s healthy tissues. Because of unknown etiologies, these diseases are difficult to diagnose and manage. Our discovery of a paradigm-shifting, unifying autoimmunity mechanism has enabled us to systematically catalogue the full repertoire of autoimmune targets in autoimmune diseases, long-COVID, and cancers. Our autoantibody-autoantigen-ome database is a rich source for clinical diagnosis, therapy selection, target discovery, and drug development.

Curandis is launching a proprietary AI Theranostics, a disruptive autoimmune-intelligence clinical test that uncovers the spectrum of autoantibodies and autoantigen-ome in patients and confers guidance in therapy selection and patient management. Our test is a revolutionary advance over conventional clinical tests for diagnosing and monitoring of autoimmune diseases, long-COVID, and autoimmune responses in cancer and therapy. 

Based on our discoveries, Curandis is optimizing a novel drug delivery platform that aims to deliver drugs specifically to modulate autoreactive immune cells in diseases. Curandis is currently pursuing drug candidates for systemic autoimmune diseases as well as topical creams for autoimmune skin diseases.

Curandis is also developing a new class of autoimmunity-targeting cancer drugs for chronic lymphocytic leukemia and mantle cell lymphoma. These drugs are designed to specifically destroy the clonal expansion of abnormal B lymphocytes. In addition, Curandis has identified a pipeline of biomarkers and drug candidates, which are being incorporated into clinical and companion diagnostic tests.

Building on our extensive scientific expertise and technical know-how in vaccine R&D and manufacturing, Curandis is interested in developing and producing vaccines against various pathogens, including pneumococci, streptococci, and multidrug-resistant superbugs.
